Salina Ramsay is a Licensed Clinical Therapist, lifelong horsewoman, and professional artist since the age of fifteen. Ramsay works from her home studio in a variety of mediums, including oil, watercolor, pencil. Beginning in her early twenties, Ramsay has had solo shows in North Carolina and Kentucky.
In 2002, Ramsay was featured artist in a Kentucky public television show as part of its Kentucky Life series.
Some of her clients include William and Elizabeth Shatner, the late Penny Chenery (Tweedy), Secretariat's owner, and Frost and Reed of London. In 2010, Ramsay’s 14k gold pin featured prominently in the 2010 Disney Secretariat movie. In addition to having her works featured in a variety of films, and equine industry publications, her Secretariat works, commissioned by Ms. Chenery, sold through Sotheby’s online auctions during its premier.
In 2013, Ramsay was made a Kentucky Colonel by Governor Steve Beshear.
